Converted iOS user, help with E-Mail on S7 Edge

I've set up my gmail account and merged my Yahoo account...Now I'm receiving notifications on both the Gmail app and native email app. I don't need both to notify me, only the Gmail app. Can you help me disable notifications on the native Samsung email app? Thanks!

You can disable the notifications right through the settings of the email app.

You can also disable the stock mail app in application manager. Not only will it kill notifications, it won't pull down email creating duplicates.
