What can the S III do that not many people know? I just got my phone 2 days ago and I feel like I still don't know half of the things it can do lol. I just transferred over from the EVO 3D. Any cool apps/widgets/etc I should get?

Side question- I have these things "Samsung Tec Tiles" that some woman showed me in the Sprint store. She didn't really explain how to use it just what it can do. She gave me a little tec tile thing but I don't know how to use it lol, anyone know what I am talking about?

The burst shot mode in the camera is cool, I also like the feature where the phone makes a call when you put the phone to your ear from someone's contact page or text message.

The GSIII can get you girls if your a guy and guys if your a girl. :O)

I can't wait to gt mine. Wanted to get it so bad but had to control my addition till after my vacation. Enjoy yours.

Apparently I have faulty hardware then because mine seems to work in reverse :(

I like that too but the other day I was looking up a number in my contacts to give someone a number over the phone, so I look at the contact and put the phone back to my ear to give the # and it starts during it interrupting my current call.

The TecTiles are pretty cool. I've got three of them set up; two in my car.

Go into the settings of your phone and turn NFC on. Touch your phone to one of the tiles. If you don't have the app, it will direct you to download the app. Once you've got the app, you set up functions you want to happen when the phone hits the tile.

I've got one in my car that turns off WiFi and turns off Bluetooth. When I get out of my car, I touch a 2nd one that turns of Bluetooth. At home, I've got one hidden under my counter that turns Bluetooth off and WiFi on. You can have them change settings, launch applications, send texts, etc.

There's also non-Samsung NFC cards out there along with software that can open up even more functionality. Really cool stuff.

Ok, I'm ALL for "cool factor", but in the event that these tiles get old, you could use this Y5 - Battery Saver | AppBrain Android Market to automatically turn your wifi on and off wherever you've had previous connections. Works like a charm. :)

This is actually one of the most useful features I've seen on a phone -

I like the feature that when your in the camera app and about to take a picture, you can just say cheese or shoot and it will take the picture....all without touching a thing.

Never got that to work. Probably turned it off a while back unknowingly

Yeah, it can be turned off in settings so I would check it. The phone also has to be pretty close to your face for it to work correctly and if there's alot of background noise, you have to say it two or three times.

Mine is a chest protector when I put it in my front pocket.

Seriously, if you want to create switches instead of using 2 tags NFC Task Launcher is very useful. I use one tag to turn things on and off.

With the S3 being slim and slick. I pretend at night time I'm a ninja throwing it around as if it were a ninja star.
