Cool tricks for Google home

easiest way is to go to store.google.com, select your home device and click in the "Learn" page. It'll tell you everything the homes can do there.

Thanks, will do. I was actually looking for something cool that blows me away.

Idk if you'll find that, regardless if it's from the help page or a fellow poster haha.

Home is great for menial tasks mainly. I use it to set alarms, play calming sounds for bed, etc. Aside from the parlor tricks like telling jokes and playing games, right now there's nothing revolutionary going on.

Okay i looked at some of the capabilities and it seems useful if it's works. Also, I am curious to where the Google home can go from here. What are some of the immediate improvements and/or capabilites Google can add and would Google need new hardware to bring in some of the new functionality?

Newbie here. But I have what was a pretty useful trick.

My 8 year old was sick the day after I bought 2 new minis. I put one in his room and set up IFTTT so that my son could mumble in his sickness "OK Google, Get my dad" and then I would immediately get an SMS telling me my son needed me. Suuuuuper practical, useful and simple.

Also if you have more than one you can broadcast to all the home devices on your network. If you say broadcast to your phone assistant then she will broadcast your message to all devices linked to your account, not just on the same network.

I use this feature to call my daughter who is 2 flights up from me and I am disabled. It is like an intercom system.
