If you have two.Android phones that are just alike, same model...

Is it possible to copy or clone the second one? And, Joe hard is it?

I would like a second phone that's just like my favorite phone as a backup or emergency phone. So, transitioning over is seamless and the features and functions are just alike.

Hope that makes sense.

Secondary question.
I have a Motorola edge plus 2023. If you were choosing a backup or emergency go to phone, what's comparable in functioning like a Motorola Edge 40, or kinda related Motorola model that would be a good standby?

I don't need a brand new phone for my intended use. A refurbished, renewed, used one is fine.

Thank you for any suggestions. And, I know about eBay, Swappa, Soonersoft. If you have any other sources to check, I would appreciate that information
🤗 Thank you

I don't think cloning a phone is possible, at least not by a legit process -- that could potentially be a serious security vulnerability, if you think about it.

The closest would be to get a 2nd phone, set it up with the same Google account, and restore it using the 1st phone during the setup process. That would get the same apps installed, but you'd still have to swap the SIM card into the 2nd phone in order to make calls. Also, any changes to the 1st phone wouldn't sync to the 2nd phone after the initial setup.

Thank you.
Yes, I was going to login to my Google and Gmail account to get my contacts imported and my Google Play store account to retrieve my apps.

I guess that's about all I need to do

Phone settings and specific individual app settings would need to be set to my needs.

Thanks. That was scary fast
