My elderly mother got a Kindle Fire for Christmas. I wanted to set her up with a US Bank app on her Fire. When I try to do that from the US Bank website it takes me to the Android market, but then it won't download to her Fire since Amazon doesn't support the Android market. I logged in from the Fire with my information but then it only would send the App to my Epic. How can I get the US Bank app from my phone to her Kindle Fire?

I looked on "Files" and I do see some apps, but not all, and not the US Bank app. Where did it go? Sorry if I sound stupid, but I can't seem to find the file. Is it just one file? Should it be an .apk file?

3rd party apps the main part of the app the ".apk" is stored in /data/app/ which you need root level access. That is the only way you would be able to pull the apk from your device and place it on the Kindle on the sdcard/internal storage card and then you "should" be able to click it with Files or other file manager and get it to install.

No promises but I think that is the only route you can take...

Many file managers like Astro File Manager have a Backup Application function. Run it, locate your app in the list and back it up. This creates an apk in the Backups/Apps folder that you can install on your Fire. It's easy, it works, and doesn't require rooting.
