Still having issues with copying and pasting text on my Droid Maxx. Whenever I copy text (doesn't matter what app) the phone insists on pasting previously copied text.

Is there a cache somewhere that needs to be cleared?

It has become a issue for me as I use this device for 95% business.

Is it a device issue or software? The folks at Motorola have ignored my question on their Maxx forum

Try what B. Diddy recommended and report back. I do a lot of copy and paste and I've never seen this issue before.

I did only hit it once. I was using Tapatalk and it hung for a minute before posting. That was strange considering I clicked this topic about 5 minutes after posting and there was only 1 reply by me. Lol

That's weird. When you copy the text, which icon are you pressing?

Try clearing the system cache partition (temporary system data, no important personal data): https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/prod_answer_detail/a_id/93895/p/30,6720,8697

When copying I hit the copy icon. Most times a banner appears saying text copied. Pasting is hit or miss. Still need to try the instructions posted in your link. Thank you.

doublestack1 I was having the same problem. I started double tapping the copy icon and it seems to correct the issue. Was very frustrating coping text and having a previously copied text pasted, went two days with same text on clipboard. I just moved over from iphone and have taken a huge step backwards except for screen size and battery life.
Hope this will correct your issue.

I'll try it. Thanks

Tried clearing the partition cache. As of now it seemed to have solved the issue.

I tried multiple copy / paste scenarios with 100% success.

As I use the device in real life situations, I will report back with any changes.

Thank you for your assistance.

Well the problem started again. Tried copying a tracking number from gmail to paste in my package tracking app. When I long pressed in the tracking number field, it pasted an email address I copied a few minutes earlier. Tried three times with the same result.

Do I really need to go through the cache clearing exercise daily????? Something is not right.
