Hi,

I'm not able to copy files from internal storage to the SD card. It does show me that the process is successful, but the copied files are always empty (0 B). I've attached the screenshots of the properties of both the original and copied files.

Please help me out.

Welcome to Android Central! What app are you using to download that music from?

Also, if the File Manager is a 3rd party app (which it looks like), I think SD card write permissions are limited now, isn't it? Have you tried the stock file manager?

Wasn't that relaxed after Marshmallow? I'll have to check on a device that has an SD card -- I can use my daughter's Lenovo Tab 4 8, which is running Nougat.

I've tried all the popular file managers. This happens with every file, every folder.

Sorry, so are you saying that this happens with more than just those downloaded music files?

Go to Settings>Apps, select the file manager app, and tap Permissions. Does it have permission to access the SD card?

I'd check what B. Diddy suggests, or if this is possible with the STOCK File Manager, then it's the SD card restriction I mentioned above.

The app has access to the SD card. All file managers except the stock one show me the incorrect (empty) file size.
