Costco extended battery rebate offer

I purchased the GNex at Costco during the extended battery rebate promotion. The clerk couldn't tell me if the extended battery has NFC or not. In fact, he didn't know what NFC was. Has anyone received their battery from the promotion? Is it NFC capable?

Are you talking about the 50% off sale at Verizon for the extended battery? Yes, I got mine, and yes, I can confirm that NFC is printed on the extended battery and works just fine...

Sorry, no, this was an offer through Costco. It was a free extended battery with activation for $219.

If it is the genuine oem samsung 2100 mah extended battery, then yes it is nfc capable.

It should have "Near Field Communication" on the battery label just under "Samsung".

I photocopied the rebate form before mailing mine and it appears to be the Samsung battery with NFC.
