Costco is currently running a online and in-store sale on the Gear Sport. Cost is $229.99 after the instant $50 discount (good thru 7/7/2018). I just stopped by my local Costco and bought one to try out (possibly replace my aging Moto 360 2nd gen). I've got 90 days to return it if I don't like it. I also noticed that the description tag at the store for the Gear Sport had an asterisk symbol next to the price, which means this product is discontinued by Costco. So, Costco probably won't be selling the Gear Sport after they run out of stock.
So far, I'm liking the Gear Sport. Very well constructed, and only slightly larger than my Moto 360 (42 mm size). I especially like the Tizen GUI... well thought out and fun to use compared to Android Wear OS. The watch is charging now, and I'm hoping to put it through the paces over the weekend.
What I'm slightly worried about, is all the Samsung apps that were installed on my phone during the setup process. Samsung Gear, Samsung Voice, and some other utility apps. My big concern is too may apps running in the background and burning through my phone's battery power. Time will tell if that is the case.
