We have identical Samsung i827 Appeals.

One drains the battery when TURNED OFF in 6 to 7 hours.

The other's battery maintains a reasonable charge durning the same time period.

The only difference is the 'Build date of the Gingerbread OS' (see below)

The one that doesn't hold a charge is GINGERBREAD .UCLE3 built on Mon May 14 10:06:36 KST 2012

The one that stays charged was built date is GINGERBREAD.UCLJ2 Tue Oct 30 17:34:10 KST 2012

Could this be the difference???

If your battery is draining while the device is turned off, you have a hardware fault. If you mean draining while in standby (screen off, not using it), then yes -- different builds can act very different. I would research why the earlier version hasn't been updated.

Do any of you folks know where I can download 'Kernel builds' to flash and match the two Appeals with the same builds?
