They say they they will replace phone I'd they can't recover it

What is stopping someone from throwing their phone in a lake I'd they drop the phone and cracking the screen.

Or saying it's stolen when it was lost?

Of course it covers actual theft, but what is stopping subscribers from doing the above?

Any thoughts?

I don't know, maybe when they see that you drove from your house to the lake in your gps records, they might figure you have something to do with it.

Quick story.

Guy reports his car stolen to the police and insurance.
Forgets he has Lojack in his car.
Lojack gets activated and the car is found at his cousin's house.
Cousin tells police that he had asked them if he could park the car.
Now serving time for insurance fraud.

True, but theft laws are very vague. If you leave your phone somewhere and someone decides to pick it up and keep it, it is considered stolen property if it's in your possession.

So can't one say the left it, went back for it and it's gone?

Everybody looks for a loophole and this is why so many people who thought they were smarter than the system are in jail. Who said anything about theft. Theft never occurred in my post about the car incident.

It was attempted insurance fraud.

I am sure that Lojack has already consider all these scenarios that you mention. They probably have some techniques to figure out the what, when, and why.
