MMS Privacy Over Employer WIFI

To limit network data use I typically have my wifi on both at home and also at work (with an employer sponsored wifi network).

My question is how likely my employer is monitoring MMS messages (and SMS messages for that matter) that are sent and received while my phone is logged into wifi?

-Are SMS and MMS sent over wifi if connected?
-If they are, it sounds as if they are not encrypted? In general I understand that this would make them available to be monitored, but if so, how difficult would this be and how likely would my employer be monitoring this traffic?

THANKS!

Re: MMS Privacy Over Employer WIFI

It is highly unlikely unless you have a WiFi calling protocol (such as T-Mobile). MMS data uses mobile data to download and send images.

As for SMS this goes through your signal to the tower -- not through your data or wifi.
