Recently got the LG G3, encountered some problems.

Hello to everyone here! I'm new to this forum so if I'm doing anything wrong or posting in the wrong place please forgive me.
I recently got the LG G3 and i'm having problem connecting it with my Samsung Galaxy Gear. Yea, i know the irony, LG phone, Samsung smartwatch. Before I've gotten LG G3 I was using the Galaxy S4 and everything worked fine.
May I know if it's the problem with my LG G3, my Gear or compatibility issues? If so, how do i fix it?
Thank you for reading!

Re: Recently got the LG G3, encountered some problems.

I had problems connecting my LG G3 and Moto 360 when I moved over from my old HTC One M7 which my Moto 360 was originally sync'd to. Solution, factory reset the smart watch and it connected instantly. Not sure why, but that has been the common fix for this prob when linking up to a new device.

Do you mean "gear" or "gear live"? I ask because its my understanding that the gear live is the only android wear compatible device. The other gears operate on Tizen and need a Samsung device to operate.

Gear. Oh that's a shame. ): Is there any way to bypass this? Like custom rom?

I tried factory resetting but it still doesn't work. Is there any other way to solve this issue? Thanks! (:

I think you may be totally out of luck on this one. I remember having to wait for a firmware update from Samsung just so my Galaxy Mega would work with Galaxy Gear. To the best of my knowledge it is completely dependent on Samsung phones and tablets.

Unfortunately, no one but Samsung supports Tizen. The drawback to proprietary systems.

Check out xda-developers - they hack them all the time but you will lose some functions - better off selling the gear and getting an android wear watch
