Go to settings data manager then data delivery. Should data roaming. Be checked or unchecked thanks.

The answer I got from Verizon back in August was Yes. Here's a snippet of their response to my similar question (I was concerned about the possibility of incuring Data Roaming charges):

1. DATA ROAMING:

No, you will not incur any roaming data charges while using your device in the U.S. Since disabling the Data Roaming feature seems to be causing some issues on your device, we ask that you please enable the Data Roaming feature.

It's only a problem if you live very close to a border and you have a possibility of catching a signal from a foreign network/tower. So if you don't live close to the Canadian border, for example, then you can leave it checked.
