Could we see a leak at CTIA because of the awards?

If I remeber correctly, there was an unannounced Samsung device up for a couple of awards in the entertainment and gaming categories, which most of us thought would be the nexus prime. Since Sammy didn't make the announcement, would the phone still be eligible and if it won would it then be revealed?

im not sure about that, but it would be amazing if samsung/google changed their mind and went ahead with the nexus announcement anyway. With all due respect, jobs passed last week and already had services, apple is wasting no time releasing their new flagship device i dont see why google/sammy should hesitate announcing theirs. I really dont believe it takes anything away from the empire that Jobs built or disrespects him in any way.... business is business

I was hoping that we would get an announcement at the time the presentation was supposed to be happening. I guess we will know in about 3 hours and 18 mins if that's going to happen.

I doubt it...that would make Samsung and Google look like total d-bags for issuing a postponement statement then.

I think you might be misunderstanding me. I was suggesting they might issue a statement about when the revised date for the presentation is. To me it makes sense, there is press from all over the mobile industry there, I assume the hall is already booked and paid for. They could get the press in to give them the details of when the new presentation is, maybe give them first look at another teaser video. This would generate internet buzz without appearing disrespectful.

However, I have to say, if they WERE going to do this, they should have announced it by now, at least to those attending CTIA, so I don't think it's that likely now.
