Could you ever go smaller

I'm about 90% sure I'm going to grab the N6 when it releases on Verizon. I'm just a little concerned about the size. Not that it will be too big, but that it will completely ruin me for anything smaller in the future. And that wouldn't be so bad, but I'm not sure if many other manufactures will be willing to release 6" screens. I still don't think there will be a lack of 5.5 screens though.

Do any of you that use it think you could go back to a smaller phone? Does it really make that big of a difference?

Thanks for any feedback.

Never intend to go smaller. BTW I'm using an N6 on Verizon now and have been for 2 months. N6 runs on any network. Vz may cripple theirs so it won't. Can't trust them!

If I could get a 4" phone with a 64bit CPU, 4GB of RAM, 32 or 64GB of internal storage, a replaceable battery and an external SD card, I probably would. That would fit in my pocket better. Smaller than 4"? Probably not. My 3.2" screen Precedent is a little too small for anything serious.

I was concerned with the size when I bought it but I'm use to the size now, it didn't take long. I will stick to phones this size but I use my phone for lots of videos and games so its great. Not for everyone though.

That's what I figure. I just won't want to go any smaller. I'm fine with the idea. I just hope they continue to make screens that big. The thing that caught my attention was that LG made the flex 2 smaller than the first one. Came from 6" to 5.5". Either way, I'm getting the N6. I'll just be addicted to the huge screen.

And I'm not worried about using it on any other network. I'm pretty much tied to Verizon. Have 5 lines with different rolling upgrade dates. I've accepted it. The network is awesome. Never any problems where I live.

I could never go back to a smaller device ... When I now hold my S4 it just feels tiny....I was going to go with the Moto X before I decided on the Nexus 6, glad I didn't (great phone and all).

I agree Verizon's network is excellent, and I have an old grandfather plan. But at the same time I don't like Verizon and would go to T-Mo if their network was as capable. Hopefully future phones will be as portable as the N6 so we can take them anywhere should we choose to. Love the N6 but my camera is dead...Motorola exchange in progress.

Starting to get tired of the size...great when I'm using it ,but starting to get annoyed with carrying it around ...might give the S6 a try if I like it.

I love the size. I think I could go back to a smaller device but I have no desire to.

Yes absolutely can go smaller. In fact went back to Nexus 5 for now. Just as long as a device comes along with powerful hardware and front facing stereo speakers and wireless charging. Then it's a go. I expect the M9 will be my next device because an 810 chip on 1080p screen I expect it to fly and being a bit of an audio nut the speakers on the M8 were better than the Nexus 6. Htc might not have wireless charging which would be a bit of a bummer.

I still use my Moto x once in a while. If the N6 had a smaller version I'd take it

The only smaller phones I'd consider at this point would be the Galaxy S6 and the HTC One M9. Something about the S6 has me looking it's way but at the same time the M9 and the BoomSound speakers are something that I cannot ignore. Stereo speakers are becoming a feature that I don't think I can live without.

When I got my Nexus 6 I was a bit worried that I wouldn't get used to the size. A week into it that all changed. It's a lot better to watch videos and web surfing. I wouldn't want to go smaller BUT...I wouldn't want anything larger either. The screen size is perfect for me and for what I use my phone. I can't imagine larger screened phones becoming the norm.

I've had mine for a week or so but I still dabble with my old Xperia Z, the only thing that takes adjusting to for me is using only one hand for typing and such.
The one thing that would be a deal breaker for me now isn't screen size but front facing stereo speakers.

Squashed under a N6

I think it would be difficult for me. I don't think I'd go below 5.5. Whenever I use my wife's xperia z3 it feels like a baby phone.

I'm still not sure how I feel about the size. I love the size for web browsing, videos, and that kind of stuff. It also has its negatives. I constantly feel like I'm gonna drop the phone because of its size. It is the first phone I constantly notice its there in my pocket no matter what kind of clothes I'm wearing. I still have a lot mixed feelings my biggest problem is the phone is just big for the sake of being big. There is no added software to really set it apart.

If I could only have one phone, no, I would not want to go smaller. I love the 5.5-6.3" screens. If more than one yes, that tertiary device could be as small as 4". I wouldn't want to dwindle beneath that size though.

Completely agree with this.

I think the Nexus 6 hits the sweet spot when it comes to screen size. I could never go back to a smaller screen, its great for watching videos. At the same time its not cumbersome to carry around.
