The best part is, Pixel is even more Google centric than any other Nexus phone.

Oh you ended up picking one up, nice.

It's funny because I keep reading how the Pixel isn't worth the price and it's missing X, Y and Z feature, therefore phone A is better....but from what I can tell, the overwhelming consensus of people who bought the phone and are using it is very, very positive.

The people putting the phone down have never touched it and if they have it was for 3 1/2 minutes on a demo unit.. LOL

Yeah, I feel that there's a huge variance of opinion from people who actually own and use the phone to those who have just looked at specs and reviews.

Yep. This reminds me of the reaction to the first Moto X. A lot of people wouldn't consider it because it didn't have this or that feature yet it was one of the smoothest experiences at the time. The difference now is that the Pixel actually does have one of the best cameras and really good specs too. I'm very happy with mine for sure.

Same here. The Moto X comparison is apt, I think. Were it not for security concerns (lack of updates), I might still be using my Moto X today. That was one nice phone. Still kinda irks me that Google can't competently mimic Motorola's active display. But this 5 inch Pixel is a keeper.

+1 for Active Display. It completely changed the way I interacted with my phone.

Yep. I got a 128 GB Pixel XL (Black) from the Google Store. Using it on T-Mobile .

There may be people out there that don't understand the Pixel's worth and they are allowed to have there opinion of course, but I haven't had that experience with this smartphone. The Pixel is the smoothest Android device I have ever owned or played around with. I also believe it's a beautifully crafted phone. It feels great in the hand. And the UI is a joy to look at and navigate. I haven't found anything to complain about so far. It has been perfect for me.

All Nexus devices I used I loved them happy too see Google just picked right back up. Having the Nexus 6 for two years I went for 5in 32gb pixel. Wanted a phone easy to use in one hand, happy I didn't have to give up specs for it like apple. Just wish they had a 64gb phone as well

So far so good. WiFi calling has been working and I seem to get the same reception as I did with my previous phones in the same area (Note 7 / Nexus 5X / S7 Edge) etc.

This phone is amazing for my type of usage. I love this phone. Last Android I had was s7edge, also a great phone. But there is just something about this phone that is stellar. I was most recently using iPhone 7. Excellent device, but I missed Android. And I may be am oddball, but I love the metal casing. I have the Pixel in Blue and it makes me super satisfied.

Could you tell me how you know your wifi calling is working. Is there some indication on the screen? I have poor cell reception in my house. I have tried to use wifi calling but can't make a call. Wifi calling is enabled on the Pixel and on my Verizon account. Google Dialer works but native dialer won't make a wifi call. To test I turn on airplane mode, re-enable wifi and try to make a call. When I do that the native pixel dialer won't work but google dialer will? How does your work? Thanks.

My wifi calling kicks in when I'm in bad cell service areas. If you go into settings, it indicates cellular preferred under wifi calling. When I'm using wifi calling it actually indicates that on the screen.
