Couple of questions about FlyX.

Right now I'm running Rubix Focused 1.0. My only issue with it is that ever since installing it, my custom ringtones only work about 20% of the time, regardless of how recently I might have rebooted. I was thinking of loading FlyX to see if this might fix my issue. I have a couple of questions.

1. I thought I read somewhere that you can install FlyX (I'd be using Rom Manager for the install) without wiping data. Is that true? I really don't want to re-set up my phone and download apps again.

2. Can anyone that's using FlyX tell my that their custom ringtones work 100% of the time?

I was on flyx up to last night. Never had a issue with ringtones. I alway wipe when installing a new rom to make sure no issues. I went over to ApeX as this will be updated still. Birdman jumped ship and will not update flyx.

I'd try apex if it were available through Rom Manager. Just don't want to mess with command line stuff.

if your rubix and go back to anathor rom with some blur its best to wipe and have a clean slate.

It's on the paid app of Rom Manager. Easy install just wipe.

I put it on (I do have the paid RM) and I love it. For the first time since I installed Rubix, my custom ringtones are working again 100% of the time. This is just my theory, but I think that the removal of all the blur in Rubix ends up removing something in particular to this phone that is related to the ability of the phone app to hit the sd card for ringtones...but I could be wrong.

Anyway, thanks for the push towards Apex.

Totally agree. If I had a phone with a tiny bit of memory, it might matter to me, but with all we have on this phone, I don't mind a bit of blur. I actually think some of it is needed, but that all depends on what you like to use on your device.

I had this problem too but it seems like the rubix 1.6 has fixed this

hey grey , i put FlyX on a while back , and i didnt wipe. Also put it on my brothers phone , and once again no wipe.
I tried out Rubix twice , and also Apex, but i just like some of the blur . i actually dont mind the look of it . I have had great success with my setup and until something comes along that blows me away , i think i will stay put . Even if Bird is not updating it.
