Quite interested in getting one of these, however, I have a couple of questions.
1. I work on offshore oil rigs, and the TV's in our rooms are normally 20" cheapo LCD TV's, however, they normally have a spare HDMI port. Does it look like there may be anyway (in the future of the device) to setup a local network (Ad-Hoc between Nexus 7 & Chromecast) to play local media stored on my Tablet (or laptop), with no connection to the outside internet (we rarely have WiFi internet access on the rigs, and when we do, we are not allowed to stream video, and even if we were, 99.9% of the time, it is too slow anyway).
I know this is not possible at the moment, but I wondered if it could be in the future?
2. Does this actually contain apps, or does it rely on the device (Tablet / Phone) to tell it what to do?
3. If I was to ship this from the US to the UK, would it be hindered in anyway?
Cheers
