Couple questions about flashing ROMs

I've got a DroidX that had the stock GB update. I sbf'd back to 340, z4 rooted, d2 bootstrap, and installed p3's 2 part .596. Then, I downloaded LL Gingeraid 4.6, bootstrapped and installed.

My question is, what is the process to flash a different ROM that requires .596 rooted? Is it as simple as bootstrap, wipe and flash?

I'm fairly new to rooting and flashing although I have rooted and flashed GB onto my wife's Eris and now have successfully rooted my DX. Thanks for any help!

sbf back to froyo, then flash cm7 or MIUI. Only if you want the latest and greatest...

LL Gingeraid 4.6 isn't actually all that bad. Pretty good actually. The speed was great too. 0 lag compared to stock GB. BUT, I was curious about CM7 so I went ahead and flashed it. So far so good. Looks more like Froyo than GB but still is great. A friend of mine has MIUI on a Dinc so that is starting to interest me as well! Thanks for the help.
