Couple questions about the tbolt

Hey guys I'm currently using a droid x and was thinking about moving to a thunderbolt for the 4g. There are a couple thing important I was wanting to find out before.

1. Can you tether in inferstructure mode once rooted without big red looking in on you?
2. Will this phone see ics official or not soon?
3. Is the root process difficult?

1. Yes, I've been doing it about a month without a hitch.

3. If you can get a Thunderbolt with S/W version 2.11.605.5 (second to latest S/W version available) or prior, it's easy as pie, using Revolutionary. The thread is at the top of the 'Rooting, ROMS, and Hacks' thread. You'll still be able to root it if you end up with a thunderbolt with 2.11.605.9 (latest) but you'll have to downgrade, which was kind of a PITA for me. But there are instructions for that on this forum too.
