CPU cooling

Hi all, 1st post. On my Galaxy S7, why do we always have to tap an icon to cool our CPU? Why Can't This be done automatically? very glad to be here. Tief

Welcome to the forums. I look at it as a manual override to underclock the CPU so that it cools a little faster. DO I think that it is necessary to? No. One could argue that at least with metal or plastic phones, there is some kind of heat sink. Glass, on the other hand, is a good insulator.
