I just found some videos of screen replacements by googling "replace HTC screen." Try putting in your specific device and see what you come up with. If you do find something, you are probably in for some work, and, you will probably have to disassemble the phone somewhat.

I have insurance on my phone just for such events.

Its possible but if you want to keep your warranty then no if you don't mind using specific tools and a stripper for the adhesive and the same type of adhesive used then by all means and you need a security screw set the replacement screen tweasers to remove the ribbon cable if your comfterable with all that then do it your self if not go to a service center suck it up and pay 100 dollars and invest in an otter box or a nice case 0.0 plus the new screen will be about 50 and the supplies about 30 so almost the sane differance but you loose any warrenty so your choice
