Cracked the glass on my phone today, sad day. It's bearly noticable but it's bugging me so I went to make a claim. Asurion PhoneClaim thru Verizon offered glass replacement for $29.99.

Has anyone ever done it? Does the phones finger print sensor still work after?

I ordered the White dome immediately after I made the claim.

I had my screen replaced and my FPS works fine. If you have a warranty they would have to fix it correctly.

What device do you have?

Note 10 plus. Thank you. I figured as much but I luckily haven't had to make a claim on a phone in over 3 years. Guess it was bound to happen.

Mine is a Note 10+ and I wasnt as lucky as you. My stepsons dog gave it a whack with his tail and onto concrete face down. I had taken the Whitstone Dome off to review a phone skin but not sure if the Dome would have saved it. It cost me 279 plus tax so it ended up just over 300. This was done by Ubreakifix. The screen includes new top, bottom and sides so they had to order it to match the phone. They did an excellent job but I did notice that the battery was down to 20 percent. The repair took 3 hours so I was curious and wondered if the diagnostics killed battery. When I called he told me the low battery is because they also swapped the battery. I'm not sure I believe that and can't think of why because in tear downs I've seen the battery is not part of the screen assembly. Maybe they are afraid of them catching fire after a drop and repair.....lol
In any event they also test it for water resistance. I don't know who does the repair I'm your case but I'm very happy with mine except the price.
Oh....it also came with a new Samsung screen protector. Tech didn't know that but I noticed it had one after he told me no. I think he was just the front man and not the major repair guy

I have Xfinity and Sprint and Assurant is the insurance carrier for all the phones.

For cracked screens.
99.00 replacement at Xfinity for my granddaughters A50 total phone replaced.

With Sprint my daughter had an iPhone 11 pro. The back glass cracked and It cost nothing to replace the phone. But she had to go to Apple. I thought it was a charge of 29.00 but the tech said no worries..

She waited a bit and said, we are giving you a brand new phone. She called and said dad they are giving me a new phone, I said it's refurbished, the tech says, tell your father it's brand new.
Seeing is believing.
I told her pull my granddaughter phone out and Duo me through googled video chat. And I watched the tech open a brand new iPhone never owned.

So having insurance goes a long way. She's still hates the iPhone and now is the owner of a new Note 10 plus.

Sprint usually will just repair the screen in about 45 minutes no charge for Samsung phones.

Now Sprint regardless of the carrier will only charge you only 49.00 to repair the S8 up to the Note 10 plus cracked screens, Without insurance!!

Not bad
Get that insurance if you are still locked to a carrier. But with any Samsung Galaxy phone I think it's so to note 10 plus, Sprint will charge you 49.00 to repair any cracked screen carrier regardless.
