Cracked screen, can I use the one from my old Nexus 5??

The glass is cracked on my new Nexus 5, and I'm trying to replace it. I still have my old Nexus 5 which I dropped into a pool, so there's that.

I'm wondering if I could take the old glass/digitizer from the water damaged Nexus 5 and put it on the new one. Or is it likely that it will be broken? Is it possible to just swap the glass?

I have no experience with disassembling cell phones, so is there anyone I could send both phones to and have this swap done? I might attempt it myself.

It is possible that that screen will not work from your old nexus 5 and its a lot of work. Do you live in the US? if you do Google is now replacing physically damaged Nexus 5 for one time only.
