Cradle at Verizon

Can anyone tell me if Verizon Stores carry those cradles for the Maxx? I would like one for my work desk, and I would rather go to the Verizon store to get one, as opposed to ordering online. Any help would be great!

Do you mean the HD dock? If so, there's a good chance they carry it, though each store's inventory varies (if your particular store isn't selling many of the Maxx, they won't carry a lot of accessories for it).

However, the price will most likely be a good premium above some of the prices you can find online.

Sorry, yes the HD Dock. Basically anything that sits on your desk and charges the phone, as well as providing easy access for listening to music through headphones.

How does the maxx plug in to the dock? I'm guessing thru the usb right? Not osmosis thru the back cover. Is it easy on the plug(jack)? I guess i need to look at one.

EDIT: Just looked at one on verizons site. $45?? Whew! Internet (ebay)maybe cheaper. But, it's getting bad reviews for ease of use. Do you guys who are using it have good things to say about it? I use a pouch case so no case issue when I would need to dock it. I'd like to dock it at nite. What pops up when it's docked? A clock? I use "night clock" app now and like it, but I can be flexible. All dock user comments appreciated. TIA.

I use it every night with no problems. It plugs into both the HDMI and Power ports and is secured. You'll need both hands to remove as one needs to hold the cradle, but its not difficult to do by any means. Docking it activates several modes that you can choose including office and bedside modes. Office gives you quick number access and such while bedside turns it into a clock.

BTW, I use the OEM dock as I never use third party supplies.

I ended up going in to Verizon and picking this dock up, and I love it. It was 49.99 but i don't regret it at all. The phone certainly wont leap from your hand and dock itself, but it's not like it's a gigantic pain either. The people who complain about needing both hands need to relax. It's no big deal.

I have a similar dock bought from Verizon for my HTC Dinc 2 - love it - it has a nice dock mode, plugs into the micro USB on the side - not hard to get in and out of. Much easier than plugging in a USB charger.
