I was surfing around craigslist today looking for a trainer for my bike and out of curiosity I checked the computers section.

There was not one Xoom on sale but there were a lot of listings for ipad2's. Of course they were over priced by about 100.00 above retail.

That's because the ipad2 is sold out everywhere unlike the xoom so ppl can make profit off it.

people are actually marking up the ipad 2's prices by $300-$600 in my area. it was higher the weekend of its release too. crazy

Guy on amazon had xooms at 1200. Not sure who would think that's a deal.

Two Xoom here on the local CL. Both listed at $700. It's simple supply and demand, none on CL because if someone just bought a Xoom they either are keeping nit or still within a return period. I can go buy a Xoom easy. iPad's demand is way above the supply so resellers are making money due to the shortage. No real surprise either way.
