creating a playlist on google play music app

I've been having a hard time creating playlists. I am using the play music app my phone came with (it has orange headphones icon) and I can not figure out how to create a playlist. All it has is a que but I can't separate my songs. Can anyone help me with this??

Follow the instructions below to add a song to a playlist from your Android device:

Touch the triangular menu button to the right of an album, artist, song or genre, and touch Add to playlist. You can also add the currently playing song from the Now Playing screen by touching the menu button to the right of the song title and touching Add to playlist.
Touch the name of the playlist to add the song to it.
You've now added the song to a playlist.

Currently, Google Play has a limit of 1000 tracks per playlist.
To rearrange songs in a playlist while using your Android device, open a playlist and drag the songs into the order you want.

You can drag each song into place by the handle to the left of the song.

To remove songs from a playlist while using your Android device, open a playlist and touch the triangular menu button to the right of the song you want to remove, then touch Remove from playlist.

You haven't deleted this song from your device or other playlists. You removed it only from the playlist you?re working with.

I need help because I cannot drag the songs to re-arrange it in my playlist. I am using samsung galaxy note 2.

I tried to move the left part of the song but still cannot move.

I am having the exact same problem and for the life of me I cant figure out what the deal is. I am unable to change the order of my songs in my play list, it just won't let me and it's driving me freak'n crazy. Anyone have some idea as to why? I have a GNote 2 as well. I know I didn't use to have this problem.

1) Clear queue
2) Go to your playlist
3) Turn shuffle off and select the first song
4) Go to your queue
5) Enjoy rearranging the songs!

Have there been any updates as to how to reorder songs? (I have the Samsung III.) I've always been able to reorder the songs in my Google Play playlist by holding down the three bars on the left and dragging the song to its desired position. But that simply isn't working anymore, as many many others have complained about as well.

I've followed the instructions people have given in this thread, but so far no luck. When I hold the bars down on the left to move the song, I hear, "Oh no, sister, you'r not moving this song today, or any other day for that matter, because it's my job as technology to make your life hell." It was something like that. I'm writing on June 24, 2014. Any tips for me? Anyone?

The most helpful answer given to your question still didn't tell you how to create a playlist.

1. Click on your current playlist to show the list of songs you have in it.
2. Click on the verticle '...' icon in the upper-right corner, next to the current song.
3. Find and click the 'Clear queue' menu item that shows in the popup.
4. Find the songs you wish to add to your new playlist, and do what you likely already know how to do to 'Add to queue'.
5. When you've added everything you want, bring up the queued list again.
6. Click again on the verticle '...' icon in the upper-right corner.
7. Click on the 'Save queue' menu item that shows in the popup.

I hope this helps for creating a new playlist, and not merely adding to an existing one.

Hate to bump this, but the topic was right.

Here's my problem: I go to "create a playlist", the block comes up to add a name and description, I click "create playlist"... then nothing. No playlist is created. I've also tried to create a playlist by clicking a song, "add to playlist", "create new". Same result, nothing is created. Frustrating. Any insight? Thanks!
