News Creative Sound Blaster X5 review: Unique extras that don't ultimately make a difference

This is why you don't let children review hardware. From the Sound Blaster DAC review:

"The Sound Blaster series has a rich heritage of delivering standout audio products at a good value, and it started out making sound cards that could be plugged into a PCIe interface."

The first Sound Blaster branded card was released in 1989 with an ISA interface. I had one. Probably long before the author was even born.

Way to destroy your credibility when you can't even get basic information correct. It calls everything after that in to question.

I had one too! :) 30+ years later, I find myself still using SoundBlaster products and have a X4 connected to my laptop.

I'm still using Z2300's on one of our desktops. I remember going from crappy speakers to these and having my mind blown.

Fine speakers. I'm using another Creative product for speakers, T40 Gigaworks Series ll. Decent computer speakers for the price.
