Cure for slippery phone without a case

Hi.

To put it simply I don't want a case. Even the thinnest plastic shell makes the phone feel cheap to me.

I've noticed that reviews/people say the phone can seem slippery, so I was thinking about using thin strips of some form of rubber that's adhesive to line the sides of the phone. Think this is a bad Idea?

No, not really. Basically I like the look, touch, feel and smell ( ;p) of my phone. I figure most people who own an m8 factored its design into their decision between similar handsets, and I was wondering if such a solution to a common problem would resonate with other owners

I know what you mean--my wife has one. But the problem with that brushed metal is that it's slippery by nature. Your idea is a decent one, but it might be hard to make that unnoticeable. Here's what someone else did: Add slim grip pads to your slippery cellphone
