A ton of us S20 users who bought at launch are FINALLY coming up on 2 years to be able to upgrade.

Just curious if anyone on here who upgraded to the S21 Ultra was happy with that decision still to this day? I like the S20U but still find the camera inexcusably awful at focusing. I've watched some reviews on camera comparisons between S20U and S21U and reviews showed Samsung finally fixed the focus issues and overall grades for S21U beat S20U in just about every category.

My only concern with S21U is no expandable memory, but that's the way of the future I guess. I'm thinking of ordering in 256GB and switching from Verizon to ATT.

I think the s21 ultra is very good device and probably see some discounts with holiday

I have an unpopular opinion here but the S21 Ultra is for me coming from an s20 series phone... Phenomenal. You can get somewhere in the realm of $500-$600 on trade from Samsung making the S21 like 400-500 which in my mind is the best phone you can get at that price BAR NONE. I mean personally it's a great phone and I had so many people saying just wait.. just wait.. but really the S22 is really just a small upgrade from the S21 line they all but confirmed the camera being exactly the same. The processor is going to have only small upgrades that will benefit battery and maybe give a small bump in performance. The graphics have been pushed aside as big jumps knowing they are sticking with the Snapdragon. The only benefit, if it's your cup of tea is the addition of the S pen when it comes to the Ultra.
For me this all points to the fact that being only a fraction of it's original price with a trade in the difference of what could be $600+ being that it could be near 1500 at launch, it's a simple question. Do you have to have the latest and greatest or do you want a decent upgrade that will still be supported and somewhat future proof for the next 2 years.
So my humble opinion is if you want a new phone the S21 Ultra is an amazing buy if you are willing to trade in your phone.

If your going from Verizon to AT&T, you can get up to $800 in bill credits for trading in your old phone. I'd wait until next week though, and see what the BF sales bring.

Absolutely, I've already discovered that, but thanks for the heads up. If trading in and getting the S21 Ultra, 256GB my bill would be pretty cheap. They also give a generous veterans discount on their unlimited plans.

I have a nice corporate discount with Verizon, BUT they strip those away the moment you switch to an unlimited plan.

I just purchased as21 ultra from eBay. Seller had it listed as s21+ 256gb and I could see from the pictures that it was a ultra. I purchased it for $599 but it now option. When I got the phone it turned out to be the 512gb version of the ultra. There battery life on this phone is outstanding. I'm consistently getting over 7 hours screen time with always 20% or not battery left at night

Why do you think your opinion is unpopular? The S20 was a horrible device, for me and in my opinion. Frankly I hated it almost from day one and my experience with the S21 has been the complete opposite. The only thing that I can complain about with the S21 is my screen has lost all of its oleophobic coating and I think that's why it has this kind of blue hazy look when screen is sleeping. When the screen is on I don't notice anything but when it is off... it kind of looks like it has a film on it or it's dirty. The factory screen protector on the S20 was the only thing I would call great about it. I wish they had offered the OEM protector but Samsung's official offering for the S20 was not OEM quality. I know many had no issues with the S20 but I wasn't one of them.

To the OP I don't regret upgrading at all and believe I would be very unhappy if I were still carrying one. Just me, just saying.

Got my S21 Ultra yesterday.
I can't find the S pen and it's smaller than i thought it would be.
its shorter than my LG Velvet.
Have the North America version

I can't find the S pen and...

Do you mean the settings for the S-Pen? The device doesn't actually come with one, just works with them.

With the phone open to settings, type "SPen" in the search bar. It's under Advanced Settings.
