Any way to get music ringtones onto the Captivate?

I just got it today, and was playing around and have everything figured out (Mostly) other than how to get ringtones from the music I sync'd to play as my ringtone.

I am trying to figure out this as well, however I did dl an app called "Ringdroid". I haven't tried to mess with it, but I'd assume you can make a new custom one from your music just like iTunes does. So I'm also assuming you used DoubleTwist to Sync over your music yes?

Give Ringdroid a try..you can make it from your current music collection. The format used for the ringtones from iTunes could very well be incompatible with Android OS..and Lord knows Apple would do that intentionally...-_- I recently switched (and got rid of) my iPhone so I know your pain...trust me.

Ringdroid works great- but make sure you convert your music from itunes into mp3's first if they are m4a's or whatever the apple thing is. Otherwise ringdroid won't see them.

I had some custom ones for my old phone that I just emailed to myself and saved them to the phone. Opened up the settings went to sounds and assigned them from the list.

yeah go to ventones.com.... it's free and you can create ringtones from any music you have in your comp ... from 30 ringtones on up to over a minute... then send to fone, place in your ringtone file and then have at it.... i have done about 20 or thirty this way... can also use them as your alrm clock tones too.

Once you use Ringdroid and you save it, choose Notification instead of Ringtone, and it'll save it in your Notifications sounds.

if you're an old crackberry user like me crackberry.com has a whole plethora of ringtones that they can email to your phone as mp3 files. you can also make your own & upload them. Thats the method i used.
