Custom Silicone Cover Options

Hello All!

I've recently bought a couple of extended batteries for my Evo. They work flawlessly and I don't have to charge until the next day!

That said, I miss my silicone gel cover that does not fit the extended battery cover door. Does anyone know of any manufacturers that either make the covers for extended cases or manufacturers that might custom make one for the phone?

I've done some searching around for DIY molding techniques, but everything is beyond my expertise. I'd rather just pay someone to make a bunch and sell the rest. I'm sure there are many people that would like to have silicone gel covers for their extended (batter) cover phones, especially the HTC evo.

I have a Yoobao 3200 mAh: obostore
And a 2700 mAh generic Chinese battery found on ebay.

Both use the same back door case (JDX574).

There is a thread suggesting a cutout for the battery. Apparently a credit card is the right size. I have ordered 2 of the $.01 covers (plus $2.98 postage) on Amazon to try.

Also have the HTC and $.01 silicon cases coming along with the Amzer rubber case. I think the TPU cases with the cutout are going to be the way to go.

I'm using a different back door cover for the yoobao, mugen, etc batteries. Instead of being a rectangular bump, it's simply raised up and beveled like a bigger stock cover, so I don't think cutting it will work that way.

Maybe I can try cutting it anyway. Will do that and post my results. But there's gotta be enough people wanting these mods to find a manufacturer to make it to spec. They've gotta be like $0.02 per piece at bulk prices.

My girlfriend has the white Evo,,and I ordered this yabaoo battery for her from eBay..as far as usage so far its performance is actually pretty good,her only gripe is the black door with her ".white" Evo.so I might just paint it white,,or see if i can cut a larger square like cut with more rounded out edges from a white silicone case.
