So, just out of curiosity, I know this is all personal preference but how many people have a case on their pixel 3, versus a dbrand skin? Or both? Thanks for any input. Just wondering...

I had a case for a while actually like 6 of them that I rotate then I got a dbrand skin but I wasn't crazy about how it felt in the hand. Yes it added good grip but I just didn't like the feel. So lately I been rocking the phone naked since the back finish feels great, however, I hope I don't drop it. I do put a case back on when I go somewhere where the risk increases like near pool side since I have cement around and small rocks.

Moment case, with the wood back. No skin, no screen protector.

Since I dropped and cracked my 2XL (first time that this has ever happened) I've been using a case, and that too a protective one. Right now settled on the incipio dual pro. Loved the stealthy black look and feel. Makes the phone a bit chunkier but hey... Can't afford another repair.

Always a case, every phone. Currently using a Ringke one. Also put a glass protector on the 3xl this time. Not that I drop my phone a lot, but I like the ability to drop my phone without worry. Im always resting it somewhere it may fall when working on my car or my bike or something.

I figured most people would use a skin in addition. Wow.

Both a skin and a case? Not sure why. Most cases are either clear or not. If clear(like mine) I want people to know its a Pixel. If not clear, then you dont see a skin. Plus, arent most skins like 3 times the cost of a case? I never see the value in spending more than $10 on a case that will last the full year of the phone until I get the new one.

Yes, very true. I'm just so obsessive about my phone lol I have the white pixel 3XL with the clear peel case on it.

Is the peel actually a case though? If you drop it, is it going to protect the glass? Or is it more of a surface protection against scratches?

Yep, nope. It's literally just the thinnest case in the world. There's no protection whatsoever. I'm not hard on my phone's though...

I went to get my clothes at the laundry and the woman was laughing as she brought out my laundry. "What are you laughing at?"
"Your underwear. It's all different."
"It's whatever's cheapest the day I buy underwear and besides, no one but you and me will see it."

That's my thoughts on skins. I buy a phone for a lot of things but styling isn't one of them. I have a Spigen Neo Hybrid that fits in my belt holster just fine. No one sees my phone without it's cover except me and the folks at my service provider.

I have considered selling skins that will make inexpensive laptops look like Apples so that people who think they can buy "cool" but can't spend $1,000 to be cool can get by. I suppose if someone sold a skin with an Apple logo they'd be hauled into court. Of course, a skin that simply says, "Steal me, I'm not great but I'm expensive," might do the job. If a crook has a choice of stealing an iPhone or a ZTE which way will he go? You've seen teenagers mobbing an Apple store and ripping off merchandise but have you ever seen twenty teenagers mobbing the cellphone counter at a Walmart?

Yeah, see for me, style on my smartphone is always been important however try not to go crazy crazy with it... The Peel case is not much of a case much more of basic protection at best. I'm not rough/hard with my phone at all so getting a regular case is not necessary. at first when I got my 3XL, I was going to just a Dbrand skin, but figured I would buy the peel case for right now. Yes, you're right, having a white phone with a clear thin plastic case is a very good combination right now.

So in that same vein.. Do you feel like your device is an extension/reflection of your personal style instead of just a tool? More of a personal statement, not just a device?

I ask because I feel like this is becoming a "thing" (or more likely is already a "thing", has been for quite some time and I'm just catching up to it). Device and personal style much like a taste in clothing ...

Yeah, that's exactly how I feel. That and I'm always obsessed with my cars and phones. I love to personalize things and customize my things. Mhmmmmmm

Interesting ... I can't say that I've given that much thought to it. I'm thinking if I did, I'd probably have more accessories/cases around. Phones in particular have always just been about getting the right mobile companion for my user case/work flow.

So let me ask you an additional question of two, if I may ... 1) Why'd you buy a Pixel ? and 2) How'd did you personalize it and why that way?
