I just got the new Galaxy S21 ultra with Android 11, and my Textra no longer offers custom vibration patterns for my text messages. This is a critical feature. Is there any way to accomplish this on Android 11?
it's gone. the developer blamed google.
But is there a way to do it through a google menu? I assume they wouldn't have just deleted the functionality.
Looks like you can only set custom notification sound. Vibration is either on or off...I just got the new Galaxy S21 ultra with Android 11, and my Textra no longer offers custom vibration patterns for my text messages. This is a critical feature. Is there any way to accomplish this on Android 11?

I just found it how to add custom ringtone...(not custom vibration, but it's something)
Long hold on any contact in the conversation list screen > dotdotdot (top right) > Customize > Notifications > Press on the word Android Settings > (Advanced) Sound > Ringtone.
It's in settings > notifications. Then you tap on the app you want to set it for & under the toggle for "show notifications" you can click on each type of notification and choose if you want an alert for it or if you want it to be silent. If you choose alert, you can then set the sound you want (or no sounds) and whether to have it vibrate.I haven't seen a way to set different vibration patterns for each app .
Yeah that I know , but you can't change the vibration pattern, unless I'm missing something? It's in settings > notifications. I can't find anywhere to change the vibration pattern for individual apps...only how to set a custom notification sound (which the OP seemed to indicate might work for her). Looks like the only options for vibrations are for calls and notifications.Yeah that I know , but you can't change the vibration pattern, unless I'm missing something?
