Customize notification LED

I was curious has anybody tried using any of the LED customize programs w/ the E3D, and if so did they work. I've tried a couple but none of them did anything. One of the things I loved about my wifes blackberry is that she can set each contact to have it's own special LED notification so even if your ringer was off you could visually see who was calling you. Also does anybody know what colors the LED can do?
