CWM Can't Mount /cache - aka I want to go back to stock

Hey all,
First off, I'm new to modifying phones. I cannot figure out most of the weird jargon you guys use, so forgive me if I start asking weird questions. :)

I rooted my Fascinate a while back. This morning, I decided to install a cyanogenmod nightly build. It works, sort of. Long story short, I'd really like to go back to the stock backup I made in CWM 4.0.1.

Now.. the two problems I'm running into. For whatever reason, CWM cannot mount the /cache partition, which apparently means it can't restore the backup (or install gapps for cyanogen, but I really don't care about that). The error gives no additional help. I've tried wiping the cache, formatting the SD card, and anything else that looked like it would work.

The second issue is that I cannot seem to get it connected to my computer to force a flash. I've installed the drivers using compatibility mode (running Win7 x64). I did get them working with adb to root the phone, but can't remember how I did that.

I'd most like to fix the first problem and restore my backup. If anyone can help there, it would be very much appreciated.

Also, what is the folder path used by CWM for backups? I think it was something like /clockworkmod/Backup, but I'd like to verify that.

Thanks!

Never mind.. I was able to follow a "restore to stock" guide using Odin. Just needed to track down the correct driver.

2.1 may not be as flashy, but at least I know I can use it as a phone now..

These links should lead you to the files you need. These are what i used to get out of soft brick and get my self back to stock several times these past few days. My first time flashing customs roms this past week.

This is all using odin to get to stock: (sd mouting problems should not matter to get to stock with this)

[GUIDE] Installing a rom/ cwm recovery/ or going back to stock for NEWBIES! - xda-developers

Steps 1-3 get you the files: odin, samsung drivers, and a clockwork (2.5.1 red i believe) that you can flash with odin. The clockwork is if you want to start fresh and start putting roms on again. Unzip the odin file, install samsung drivers, then youll want to extract the 7zip to get your stock recovery md5 file and the pit file

Now all you need is recovery file: here ***READ THIS!!!!!!*** Going from CM7/MIUI/OMFGB to another rom/Unbricking your device - xda-developers or here http://forums.androidcentral.com/verizon-fascinate-rooting-roms-hacks/110491-guide-go-anything-jts-vanilla-gb.html look for the stock ED05 link that you will flash with odin.

If you follow the jtvanilla guide just install drivers then do steps 2-4.

Now i am not sure if you must repartition if you like to get full stock back. I did- but someone may want to check me. You'd do that by adding your pit file to the pit selection in odin along with your stock recovery that you add in the PDA section. then start and let it go till it passes
