CWM keeps crashing?

I have rooted my phone and installed the CWM ROM Manager app, but every time I try and reboot in recovery, or install ROM from SD card in the menu the phone restarts shows the android and then crashes, I then turn on the phone agian and it boots into 'Android System recovery <3e>'

What am I doing wrong?

Some info on my phone that may or may not help:
Model number GT-N7000
Android version 4.1.2
Baseband version N7000XXLT3
Kernel version 3.0.31-1103517

Hi there

It would be really hard for anyone here to know what might have gone wrong. If I were you and experiencing the same issue. I would reflash OEM software and try the whole process again....perhaps something was corrupted during the installation of Root or Rom.

Had the wrong kernel, so CWM was not sticking

All sorted now, and running a very snappy marshmallow build now.
