Cyanogen 7

I just loaded Cyanogen 7 on my phone. During the start up it sits there for quite some time(with out the spinning arrow). How long does this normal take on the first time loading this mod? Im worried that my phone will die before it loads

The Mik one? The first post in that XDA thread says what do if it hangs, I think. I assume you cleared data +caches, although that info was in the first post also so perhaps I shouldn't take it for granted.

Takes a few mins the first time, seems to be faster after that.

It sat over night and did nothing but be a great night-light. i hvae pulled the batt and restarted the phone and it still sits in the same place( the spinning arrow ). I did not clear anything

I just installed cm7.1 last night and I can't believe the difference vs stock froyo. Overclocked to 807mhz and I must say I am loving it. So... I had the same issue at first with boot hanging on the skate. I did a quick search on Google and it told me to go into mount and storage in recovery mode than wipe the cache, data, and system
I did that and it worked like a charm. Good luck.

If you're using AmonRA recovery you may need to format the system partition. Check miks post for the flashable zip
