Cyanogen OS Apps continuously crashing

Hey everyone, I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to Android. I have this problem. I have a OnePlus One and before I had an app that would just never work. Everytime I would open it I'd get the message "Unfortunately <App Name> has stopped". Today I got an update which put my phone into a boot loop and I ended up having to reset the phone. Now the app from before is fine, but a different app does this. Every time I open it and even after an uninstall/ reinstall. Is there any way to fix this without doing a factory reset again?

Welcome to the forums. You can try rebooting into recovery and clearing the system cache and Dalvik...but I think a reset is probably your only option.
