CM7 froze my rooted HTC Inspire when I used a ROM manager to install it. Now all I get is the CM7 bootup logo and start screen. I can not get in by removing the battery, sd memory or SIM card. CM7 crap froze the phone good! Any suggestions? My HP Pavillion quad processors, running windows 7 premium w/ 8GB will not recognize the phone w/ or w/o HTC sync running.

Welcome to Android Central.

I will move this over to the appropriate HTC section so you get more direct help.

Good luck.

Boot into the recovery and wipe/factory reset the device. To enter recovery, you need to power off the phone (remove the battery and re-insert) and hold volume down and power. This should bring you into the custom recovery where you have several options. You'll need to select factory reset and apply, then move into advanced and format /system, /boot, /data, /cache.

Hope that helps and gets you back up and running. It will take a while to boot on the first start-up. once it reboots boot download the gapps file referenced below. Boot back into recovery and flash the gapps file. Download the file here:

Latest Version - CyanogenMod Wiki

Scroll down and you'll see several versions (mdpi, tiny, hdpi, etc). Download the hdpi version for use on CM7.

Also, refer to the Wiki for useful information on Cyanogenmod. There's a lot of good info there that will not only help you understand CM, but will help with other ROM's and mods for your device.
