just read that its now out for many android phone but again fascinate not one of them. why do the developers continue to omit working on this phone..would love to try cm7 if it was availible

One word: Samsung

Cyanogen is now based on Gingerbread, and Samsung has yet to release their source code for Froyo. And the source they have released, for Eclair, is riddled with bugs. So not only is most of the code necessary to get CM on this phone not available, but what is available needs major work just to function properly.

And this is why I still say that Samsung has some pretty crappy coders, or if not that is forcing them to be by setting deadlines they can't meet and do quality work.

It seems with every new leak froyo gets better and better but at this point we should be seeing gb releases not froyo leaks but I will say ec01 runs better than any froyo rom on my d2 but I really want to see a gb leak or because I really want a stable build of cm7

Well there is the kaoscinate v5 that is running on CM7 for the fascinate, i tried it but it is in very early alpha.

Kinda figured that since everyone (me included) wants the latest and greatest, but that is all that I could offer up...

Yes, I believe jt1134 is still working away at a CM7 ROM for the fascinate, but wanted to get something out to the Fascinate users. He posted a question in his thread at XDA asking people to respond whether they wanted him to just keep working on CM7, or divert his resources for now and put out CM6 so the Fascinate users would have a mostly functioning CM ROM for now. Apparently the majority of responses favored putting out CM6 before he continued working on CM7

I hear great things about CM, but I cannot see putting a ROM on that isnt 99% functional. But that is just me. I am slow and when I throw a on, unless I hate it straight away, I like to give it a day or so try out.

I guess I was spoiled early on with complete things...

I believe its still in beta, remember seeing in jaekars thread that someone has a 6.2 beta working. Hopefully with the new sourcecode they can get one fully functional would love to give it a test run. If you want to keep yourself updated check jaekars stickied thread on themes and roms, he updates pretty much everyday.

I went looking for an answer for this awhile back and came up with a few answers from more than one forum.

First I understand that it is a AOSP build, kinda like the nexus, pure google without the sense, touchwiz other stuff on top of it

Next, i think one of the answers that I came across is that it is based solely on "final" releases and not leaks and patchwork stuff.

Other than that, I got nothing. I havent really given it a chance because I really don't want my phone to have glaring issues like the current build (6.2) has (no camcorder, no MMS).

Do not take that remark as me knocking the build, it is just preference. I know he is working hard on it, and with the Froyo source released it should be ready to go full blown sometime in the near future.

Alos, I am sure there are other great things that I don't know anything about and someone will fill in the blanks

Unfortunately jt has said this current Fascinate source code release is pretty much identical to the Mesmerize source code release, so no help for the remaining problems with CM6.2.

Unfortunately no, but good thing is jt and punk.kaos are not giving up and are still trying to get both ROMs fully functioning.
