I wanted to post this yesterday, but was extremely busy. I noticed this almost right awy but didn't have time to go back to BB. I'm curious if anyone else can see this.
The only way I've been able to see this problem is in direct sunlight. When in direct sunlight view a dark screen. I can see a lane on the top third of the screen that goes straight toward the other side, about 2/3's of the way over it makes a 90 degree turn straight up and then another 90 degree turn to the left again and out the other side somewhere around the middle of the volume rocker.

It's not easy to see, but I think I will be making a return trip, because if the amoled display was damaged below I would think it could get worse. I'm guessing internal compoenents pushed or rubbed on the screen causing this. Just curious if anyone else can see this. Again, don't even try under inside light, go out in the sun and look at a darker screen and look for straight lines.

Anyone know if I would have to go back to BB, or would an ATT store exchange my phone? I'm closer to ATT stores downtown.

Thanks,
Rich

im pretty sure you will have to go to best buy but you can call at&t and ask can you try and take a pic for us?

i checked mine in the dark and light and i have no such lines sorry to hear about your phone.

I don't think a picture will show it, but I tested just a little this evening and do see that I can see it when the phone is off. This was obvious after I thought about it since black pixels are black, shouldn't be any different then when the screen is on. My wifes phone doesn't have the line all the way across, but I can see where it starts the same place as mine on the right edge.
I'm sure ours can't be the only one two.
The easiest way to see it is to open up the app drawer, look for the line just below the second row of text for the first row of icons. Look on the right side of the screen, do this in sunlight or bright light. Turn the screen off and see if you can see a faint line.
As I mentioned before mine goes around 2/3 of the way accross the screen, goes up a little bit and then left off the screen near the middle of the volume rocker.
I wasn't even looking for it when I saw it the first time, but I was in sunlight. I guess if I'm at the right angle it pops out more. If I could be guaranteed it wouldn't get worse I wouldn't worry about it.
I don't know when I'll have time to take the phone in. Maybe I should hold onto it and take it back for an exchange after awhile when any hardware flaws have been worked out.

thats you call if you do it within the 30 days you will get a new device after that it is a refurb. but i have been going at mine with a magnifying glass and every angle but mine appears clean and others dont seem to have the issue so i would try and replace it and check the new one before you leave the store.
