Dark Mode? Yes please!

If this dark theme weren't restricted to the Pixel launcher, I'd be all for it. When Google comes up with a dark theme that I can apply to Settings pages and to Android System & the System UI in order to get black notifications, then I'll get excited.

My guess on an ETA for that excitement: the 12th of Never.

Samsung dark themes apply to the settings pages and nearly everything Samsung made on the phone. The notifications aren't affected though, as well as some parts which Samsung didn't alter like the Google settings. Which is why I want a system wide dark theme by Android itself.

Ah sorry should have clarified -- of the big ones. I don't really pay attention to OnePlus much since I don't trust the company so they basically don't exist for me .

I had a beautiful system wide dark theme back when I got my first Windows Phone. It still amazes me that Android still doesn't have this. That is the one feature that I still miss.

That's so awesome! I'm a moderate user most days; but I'd say that I do a small chunk of phone usage in the dark/darker rooms, so having a dark theme would really help with eye comfort. I keep my bright was down anyway but perhaps this would make things a little easier in the early morning/later at night when I use my phone (mostly for Android Central browsing! ).

The dark theme is never truly dark though. I want all webpages, the Google Now feed etc to be black too. Why can't they give me this?
