Data Connection Issue

Just wanted to see if anybody else has this problem that they've noticed.

I do a lot of driving for my job, much of it in areas with little to no reception. I have noticed several occasions where I have lost my 3G connection but then when I get back into an area where I should have it, I don't. This happened to me today and I didn't have data for several hours until I went back into the office and turned on the wifi and got a flood of emails. I tried turning airplane mode on then off, tried turning the mobile data off then back on... nothing. It seems like the only thing that generally fixes it is to reboot. Although I did notice today that once I left the office, several hours later, the 3G was connected without rebooting. It can be pretty annoying at times. Anybody else experiencing anything like this?

I had this happen occasionally with my Note 2, but I've not seen it with the Note 3 yet. I was hoping that was some weird software issue with the N2 that had been fixed. Was never a *huge* deal, since it only happened maybe 4 times in the year I had the phone.

On the bright side, at least the N3 reboots fast as hell ;)

j/k...

mostly...

Yeah... It's not a total deal-breaker for me, just annoying. There were a lot of LOS problems with the S2 that I never had too much of a problem with but this seems to be a bit different. I don't completely lose service, just the data connection. I've had it happen maybe twice in roughly a month, hopefully it will clear up.
