Data drops when on a call? Is this NORMAL?

I just got the S4. It is not rooted. Everything is stock and I just updated to the lastest OTA. Is this normal behavior?

If you only have 3G mobile data reception, then yes, that's normal, because Verizon phones can't do simultaneous voice and data on 3G (it's a limitation of CDMA technology). If you have 4G reception, then you can access mobile data, because the 4G is using a different radio (the LTE one).
