Data issues on T-Mobile

Anyone else setup their unlocked One on T-Mobile yet? I'm only getting Edge and no 4G.I know at least 3G is available in Chicago, but I thought LTE was too! Still don't understand why I'm getting only Edge.

The Devel Edition? It doesn't have T-Mobilies main (AWS) 4G bands unless the area has been refarmed. LTE should also work from what I've read.

That map shows Chicago as being refarmed, but it also shows my area as that as well, and I'm only getting EDGE as well. :-(

Hi I'm in downtown Chicago and my Dev Ed HTC One is picking up T-Mobile HSPA. It will initially show 3G but then switch to "H" when I actually start doing something with the connection. So 1900 seems to be working OK for me. I did a quick speed test, here's what I got (not as good as my Nexus 4, but the One isn't DC/HSPA+ afterall). It's good enough

The unlocked phones, which are missing the 1700 mhz band, won't (really) work on T-mobile 4G/3G where TMo is still on 1700/2100 and has not yet been refarmed to 1900. These threads might provide you with more info:

Mine is off of the Greater Los Angeles area. Edge in Pomona, "H" everywhere else.

Still depends on location...
LTE isn't ready everywhere. And the dev edition only supports one of the two bands that T-Mobile uses for HSPA+. One of them is refarmed from AT&T in only select locations.

This is one of the things I worried about when I had the Dev editiion on preorder. My tmobile version is kicking **** and it's faster than my Nexus 4. When I had the Iphone 5 on tmobile's refarmed 1900Mhz network, I experienced the same speeds as some of you. I just hope when LTE is available it will be widespread, I'm not that impressed with the 1900Mhz band. it's not bad at times, just inconsistant.
