Data Issues, please help.

Hi all,

I am hoping some one can shed some light on if this is a normal issue or arable with my handset, but what is happening is that many times I will open an app such as the App Store, LinkedIn, Facebook Andy even Gmail and the apps just sit there spinning as if they are not getting data, or images are not showing for social apps, with gmail it will just spin and spin.

The way I need to get things back to normal is to go to airplane mode and then reconnect to the network in order to get the data flowing again. This is very odd because this happens when I have 4g let showing and a few bars.

I am loving the phone so far but this is a bit disconcerting as it feels like I have to frequently tinker with the phone to get a proper data signal.

Any ideas what could be going on or should I bring this unit back for a swap?

Does it happen on wifi or only on mobile data? Is your phone an unlocked model or was it supplied by a network? If it is only mobile data then your network configuration is wrong and you need to contact your network provider who should be able to send the right settings directly to your phone, then it is just a case of rebooting.

Maybe they stuffed a Thunderbolt inside? The Thunderbolt was notorious for that.

Hi all,

Thanks for the replies. This is a stock AT&T 32 gig version. I have not seen it yet over wifi but that could be since I have not used wifi much with my unlimited data plan.

I will I've them a call and see if they can fix it OTA and report back once I see if it resolves the issue.
