Hey Guys,

Long time Android user, but first stock Android device.

I've always been used to on my other devices (coming from a SGS3) setting a data usage limit. I see how to see my data usage, but it doesn't seem to let me set a limit. Is this not an option in stock Android? I know there are apps out there so I'm not really worried, but I just assumed it was a built in feature since that is how it seemed to be on my SGS3 (It didn't seem like TouchWiz customized that too but they must have).

You can limit data on the nexus 5 as well it has the settings in the data usage section. It is a build in feature.

When I was setting up my old HTC One X for my son the other day, I noticed the data usage limits are grayed out as well. However, after setting it up over night, it will enable itself so that I can now set data limits there. It seems that feature requires sometime to sync with carrier before it allows you to customize.

Hmm, I must need to be activated with a SIM then cause I still don't see it... currently I am just on Wifi setting the phone up. A little lazy to run over to T-Mo to finally make the switch. Thanks for the info though.
