Hiking in the Cascades, when I switch on my phone and I have a signal, none of my apps can get online while (Android) System Account turns out to be very active transferring data. Only when System Account is done transferring about 30-80MB -- which with a low connection takes an hour (in the meantime, my battery is half empty), and frequently never completes -- can I use any of the other apps. This happens every time / every day that I switch on the phone and have a signal. What is going on??? How do I stop System Account from destroying the use of my phone?
